  My favourite Korean dish is Gamjatang or pork bone soup...
  
  This place has the best pork bone soup in the lower mainland period
  
  I have searched all the well reviewed Korean restaurants and this version checks all the boxes... 1) great tasting broth , 2) tender meat that falls off the bones, 3) good portion of veggies

  Looks like they've changed their menu as well as the interior. Might be new management.
  
  There is now a $16 bulgogi set course and a $20 BBQ set course menu. I I went for the $16 option. What a deal. The food was so plentiful that we had to keep eating or we would run out of space. Pretty much everything was delicious. The only item that was iffy was the salad, because the included sauce was unusually runny.
  
  For the bulgogi, always go for the "spiciest" option. It has a bit of heat but is quite tolerable if one can handle spicy food.
  
  Now to come back at some point and try the BBQ set course.

  Previous review I said this place is my favourite for bibimbap, it still is but I have to take down my rating from a 5 to a 3. Unfortunately, for some reason, the quality of their food went down the last time I ate here with my brothers. Seafood pancake was thick and undercooked and the fried chicken was tasteless. One more thing the reason I came here recently was for their lunch combos on weekdays. It's disappointing they made huge changes to their menu not for the better but for worse. I'm not sure if it's a different management but all I know Waba doesn't make me go "wahh" no more..

  I could not be considered an expert on Korean cuisine having never eaten at a Korean restaurant before, bit the food here was just plain good.  One in our party ordered the seafood pancake which was tasty (and huge!) while the rest of us order the bulgogi tasting menu in chicken.  It was so good and fun for a newby.  Soup, noodles, tempura, salad, rice and the bulgogi were so good (although the soup wasn't really my thing).  The service was good too.

  On my day off, I was being indecisive of what I wanted to eat. To simply things, I turned to Yelp to see what options are around my area. I opted to for Waba Korean restaurant, conveniently located close to Silvercity Coquitlam.
  
  I walked into the restaurant still jam packed with people at 1:30 pm. I ordered the lunch  combo for $11.95, with it you get to choose one protein and three sides. I selected the Beef Bulgogi, a side of rice, 2 pcs takoyaki and 2pcs bredead prawn.
  
  The Beef Bulgogi was delicious! Flavored well and very tender. The rice was a bit mushy, prawns were alright but the takoyaki was tasty. The presentation wasn't the greatest but the food was good for the price. It also came with complimentary kimchi, sweet potato and pickled sprouts.
  
  I am bringing my friends here for dinner to explore more of the menu.
